Checking if GNG is met for Draft:Illinois Heartland Library System?
[edit]Would someone mind checking if GNG was met for Draft:Illinois Heartland Library System? I think there should be enough articles in Illinois newspapers about the creation of this library system... WhisperToMe (talk) 17:26, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
- I replaced the library's website with a new source that helped it meet notability. Your article is now live. You might want to use the file upload wizard to add your logo. Rublamb (talk) 00:55, 9 September 2025 (UTC)
The article Canadian Libraries (collection) is being considered for deletion.
This is the first sentence from this list article:
"Canadian Libraries is a digital collection of ebooks and texts at the Internet Archive. This collection contains over 400,000 items sponsored by Canadian Library Partners:"
A previous AfD was conducted in 2015 under a different name:
DGG strongly argued then to keep this list and the article was kept on WP:IAR grounds.
Please share your assessments of this article, positive or negative.

Questions about Charles Cutter Wikipage
[edit]Hello, I am very new to Wikipedia(long time reader), and I am looking to make some edits on the Charles Ammi Cutter page. In fact I opened this account because of some minor issues i noticed in the Charles Cutter article. I am not an experienced Wikipedian, but I am familiar with cutter. the article is ranked as Start Class Mid Importance by Wikiproject Libraries. Again, very new and did not want to step on any toes. If this is an inappropriate forum for this question, my apologies. JanetPlanet518 (talk) 13:33, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- Hi JanetPlanet518, welcome. Feel free to make edits on that article, just make sure you have appropriate citations and ask here if you have any more questions. The importance ranking is just so that people can understand a subject's relative importance in the larger wiki world. So while Cutter may not be a household name to non-librarians, he's mid-level important to people in the library world. Did you have specific questions on editing? Discussion about WikiProject banner templates
[edit]For WikiProjects that participate in rating articles, the banners for talk pages usually say something like:
- "This article has been rated as Low-importance on the importance scale."
There is a proposal to change the default wording on the banners to say "priority" instead of "importance". This could affect the template for your group. Please join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Council#Proposal to update wording on WikiProject banners.
