Add the EU?

Manufacturing output figures still badly out of date.

It is now May 2024 and the article lists American manufacturing output for 2021 - the figures for some other countries are also out of date, but for major nations the American figures are the most out of date. 2A02:C7C:E183:AC00:60E1:9BC9:93D1:5E30 (talk) 21:11, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The source given lists the most recent data for U.S. manufacturing output as 2021 (though this article states that it's 2024 because it has been messed up by some clowns again). If you'd update anything that isn't verified by the World Bank list, you should give a reference specifically for the country this applies to. Maxeto0910 (talk) 13:19, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It is now March 2025 - it is very bad to still be giving American manufacturing output figures for 2021 - it should be at least 2023. List of countries by manufacturing output

The list is completely messed up again. If someone wants to correct it according to the source given, it'd be appreciated. Maxeto0910 (talk) 13:21, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Skinner wrote in 1992 that at that time "enthusiasm for the concepts of 'manufacturing strategy' [had] been higher"

I think this statement has lost the word "never": ".... [had] never been higher" would make more sense. Can anyone verify this or agree with me that this would be a better reading? Thanks, BobKilcoyne (talk) 04:38, 4 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense figures on the list of largest manufacturing nations from the World Bank.

According to the World Bank figures given in a table in the article, the manufacturing output of Germany is greater than that of Japan - in reality it is the other way round, the manufacturing output of Japan is greater than that of Germany. And, again according to the table in the article, the manufacturing output of the United Kingdom is greater than that of Russia - again the reverse is true. These are just two examples showing just how inaccurate the table of manufacturing nations, given in the article, is.

The nonsense figures given in the article (and taken from the World Bank) may be the result of taking artificial exchange rates for currencies seriously (rather than any deliberate dishonesty), but they are still highly misleading for general readers. 2A02:C7C:E1BA:CE00:7426:8E55:916B:DD09 (talk) 08:42, 8 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
