Home birth

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A home birth is a woman choosing to give birth at the place where she lives, rather than a hospital. This was normal until the middle of the 19th century. The term was coined at the same time as when births began to take place in hospitals.[1] A midwife will usually help the woman giving birth.
