I sure hope that this project isn't shutting down. It would be unfortunate for us to cave to the opinions of non-content contributors at an RfC who probably don't even know how to read a map. Bneu2013 (talk) 02:16, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've marked the page as per this. 20:59, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
I just want to state for the record that I intend to continue maintenance of Washington articles as well as those I brought up to GA status in other states. I'm going to be contributing to both projects, albeit with less detail for roads articles on here. SounderBruce 04:27, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In reality there are two more alternative sites we can choose from - Justapedia and Encycla. The former is a Wikipedia-like site that forked all contents from here last year and has lenient notability requirements. 5.181.21.208 (talk) 13:30, 27 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Category:U.S. road transport articles by importance

[edit]
All categories in these categories

All pages in these categories

The following categories and their sub-categories are all pretty much empty and account for a large number of the issues flagged here:

Inside, there are currently 413 sub-categories containing only 57 project talk pages that all just redirect to this talk page. Are any of these meant to be filled out? I'm asking before sending them to categories for discussion. Pinging Imzadi1979, HouseBlaster, MSGJ, and Paine Ellsworth who have all recently worked on the template that categorises these pages. Cheers, Aluxosm (talk) 03:20, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

None of these should be empty. So much has been changed around in the banner template of late that I'm not sure what's what anymore. Just to take the third category for example, it's the importance counterpart of Category:Interstate Highway System articles by quality. Just as Talk:Interstate 75 in Michigan is in Category:FA-Class Interstate Highway System articles, it should also be in Category:Mid-importance Interstate Highway System articles. Since it is not, something has been broken in the template. Imzadi 1979  04:19, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I can tell, it was this edit that removed the importance ratings. I am pinging HouseBlaster who was heavily involved in that discussion, to see if this was intentional or an oversight — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 22:53, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
That was most certainly not intentional. Best, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 23:31, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Quantity of images on Road signs in the United States

[edit]

There is a discussion about quantity of images on Road signs in the United States (current version as I write this) at Talk:Road signs in the United States § Gallery. Mapsax (talk) 02:03, 2 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
