Renames can now be performed even when an account is part of a unified global account, either to or from the unified name. Users will want to merge the account after rename via special:preferences however. Please see m:Steward requests/SUL requests. Might want to fix the page header. :) Thanks! Those are fairly new, a bocked editor who didn't really edit here came and added them one day. Personally I would rather remove them and go back to how we normally were doing it with a simple {{done}} template. Don't think we need to be so complicated. Archiving

Do we really need to archive requests? It seems a tad pointless to me, we can just look through the history if needed and archiving adds an extra step I feel is unneeded. Plus, no one is doing it in a timely fashion. Thoughts? fr33kman 19:22, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Yes we need archiving as it gives a one stop place to find out name changes. And its searchable whereas the history is not. And there is no time limit. We archive when the page gets too large which usually takes many months. If anything we have been archiving too fast looking at how small a couple of the archives are. I will probably merge some of those together later into single year chunks. -DJSasso (talk) 19:25, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Since there is no discussion here, making sure you guys know about this You've got about threee weeks to reconcile your local procedures with the new SUL rename procedure that will be based at meta. Local renames will no longer be possible after May 27. Beeblebrox (talk) 22:04, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

I want to vanish. Yesterday I wrote a Biography about me that was based on sources so someone block me. The problem my username is still there as Gonzaloariascontreras and it is disgraceful.
