Requests for de-adminship (or for desysop) may be made in the following ways:
- Wikipedia:Administrator recall, where editors may compel an administrator to stand for reconfirmation
- Wikipedia:Administrators open to recall, a separate system of voluntary recall criteria

 - Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case, where editors may request ArbCom action regarding administrative misconduct
 - Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard, for non-controversial removal of permissions
- meta:Stewards' noticeboard, which historically served the same role, and still shares jurisdiction for emergency desysops

 - Wikipedia:History of de-adminship proposals (located at this title until October 2024), documenting other actual and suggested forms of de-adminship
