The vice president of Syria (Arabic: نائب رئيس سوريا, romanized: Nayib Raʾīs Sūriyā), officially the vice president of the Syrian Arab Republic, is the second-highest political role in the Syrian government after the president. In the event that the president is removed from power, dies in office or can no longer carry out their duties, the vice president may become acting president.[1]
