Auckland Mayoral Election 2025

- This is the photo from the election website which was provided by the candidate to the election commission. Is that subject of copy right? And would a reference of the photos origin fix that? NattJohn436 (talk) 07:26, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- all photographs are copyright from when they're created, new zealand has automatic copyright - belonging to whoever took the photo TheLoyalOrder (talk) 07:38, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- also local elections aren't run by the Electoral Commission, potentially the copyright belongs to Auckland Council but they don't usually freely license photos - see the terrible photos we have of Auckland councillors / the mayor TheLoyalOrder (talk) 07:39, 27 October 2025 (UTC)

- well anyone who owns the copyright to a photo of them could supply a photo. unless there's been an agreement explicitly transferring copyright, copyright belongs to the photographer TheLoyalOrder (talk) 08:24, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
