Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edits you made did not have an edit summary. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary, or by discussion on the talk page. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit and/or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

or in the visual editor:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Describe what you changed

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. When logged in to your Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! 🌊 oceanloop 22:50, 27 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ocean, thank you for bringing this forward. I'll be sure to add edit summaries going forward!

Shared Health moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Shared Health. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Bakhtar40 (talk) 11:53, 28 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for looking at this Bakhtar40! I'll revisit this and see where I can improve it for publication. TheDocOck (talk) 18:25, 28 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Chasing Summer (August 29)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Pythoncoder was:
Your draft shows signs of having been generated by a large language model, such as ChatGPT. Their outputs usually have multiple issues that prevent them from meeting our guidelines on writing articles. These include:
Please address these issues. The best way is usually to read reliable sources and summarize them, instead of using a large language model. See our help page on large language models.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ava Industries requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. 2A02:C7C:4D0A:A500:D166:DA64:AC83:4F4B (talk) 08:12, 29 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm JalenBarks. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Devonian Gardens—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. Jalen Barks (Woof) 18:20, 6 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jalen, my apologies, I'm researching how to nominate a draft to replace a redirect and must have done something. I'll be more cautious while working on this. TheDocOck (talk) 18:22, 6 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Bank & Baron when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 20:47, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

[edit]

Hi TheDocOck. Thank you for your work on Devonian gardens. Another editor, Zzz plant, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Definitely notable, but there is a redirect (with non-negligible history) at the preferred title Devonian Gardens.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Zzz plant}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Ways to improve Devonian gardens

[edit]

Hello, TheDocOck,

Thank you for creating Devonian gardens.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Thanks for creating this page. A lot of the sources seem to be to the city council, so it would be good to see more independent reviews of the gardens.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Northernhenge}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

A tag has been placed on Stagehand (company), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Kent Building Supplies (November 17)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by DoubleGrazing was:

Information icon

Hello TheDocOck. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Kent Building Supplies, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:TheDocOck. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=TheDocOck|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. MediaKyle (talk) 11:41, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey MediaKyle,
I’m not paid to make any of these articles. I only notice things around me or on the news and if they seem notable enough and don’t already have an article, I create one.
I'd urge you to consider your biases and assumptions and look at the articles I've created and edited. While some may be understandly on the edge of meeting Wikipedia's notoriety, I'd say most of them strongly meet the guidelines without question.
There's a lack of information on many things in Canada, and I'm trying my best to fill the gap. Lately, I've noticed a gap in private corporations, which I believe are essential to Canada's economy and story. This will now be and will continue to be my focus. Due to Wikipedia's reasonable guidelines, I understand that it will often be misinterpreted that I'm doing this for paid work. I can assure you I'm not.
Going forward, I'll try to be cognizant of the notability of the articles, but I will also continue to challenge the grey area and be bold in my article creation and editing. TheDocOck (talk) 12:04, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
The draft about Kent Building Supplies was created in July by a declared employee of Irving, and received no intermediate edits in between when it was first declined and when you began editing it yesterday. I'm sure you can understand why this would raise an eyebrow for me, when clearly Kent Building Supplies has an interest in getting that article published and has already invested in trying to do so. Further, your edits are generally quite promotional, and it seems like you're making heavy use of an LLM. I would advise you to think carefully about your editing style going forward. Cheers, MediaKyle (talk) 13:15, 17 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
