Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, RupsaC, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, which will be reviewed by other editors. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, visit the Teahouse, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. This appears to be a duplicate of another submission, Ronita Bardhan, which is also waiting to be reviewed. To save time we will consider the other submission and not this one.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Hi Dan, I request you to kindly take the latest one, I didn't put for publication. This one is edited one, also has a photo, So kindly request you to take this one and avoid the previous one which doesn't have a photo. If needed, you can delete the first one which doesn't have a photo. RupsaC (talk) 08:50, 14 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Also, I checked, I didn't submit the first draft for review. So, I didn't know that it would be reviewed and lead to duplication. The profile is of a professor from Cambridge, as you have seen, so I request you to consider the latest draft as I took a lot of time to edit this one to avoid any academical or scientific mistake in the draft. Hoping to hear from you. Thanks! RupsaC (talk) 08:54, 14 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
To update: I’ve requested the deletion of Draft:Ronita Bardhan to avoid duplication. I hope that once it is deleted, I’ll be able to resubmit Draft:Dr Ronita Bardhan for review and approval. Please guide me on the next steps. RupsaC (talk) 09:42, 14 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, RupsaC. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Ronita Bardhan (October 14)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Bonadea was:
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
This draft's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs to
Make sure your draft meets one of the criteria above before resubmitting. Learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. If the subject does not meet any of the criteria, it is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
There is nothing in this draft which would satisfy WP:NPROF notability in any obvious way. And the sources are the subject either talking about herself (interview), commenting on things, or other close primary sources, none of which contributes anything towards WP:GNG either. There is unreferenced content, and some of the sources do not verify the information against which they are cited.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
