Hey guys, i've read through the sock puppet investigation and I understand what might have happened here, but just to put myself here, i'd like to share that i used to be an editor on wikipedia around 2020, i lost my passwords so i created new account to start building again,. I have been binge watching a few telugu films due to which I picked and created an article for Chiranjeevi Pedamallu (Producer), K-Ramp (Film) and Ritesh Rana(Director). I can fully assure you that I have not been paid, nor have any connection with any of these people. Are all the accounts in Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of BluntIsBlunt yours? If so, this is more than a case of a lost password. PhilKnight (talk) 04:37, 4 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, I have nothing to do with BluntIsBlunt; Back in 2020 i was watching telugu films on repeat and had created a few wikipedia articles for films, producers who had releases in 2019-2020-2021 if i remember it right. Naga Shourya's and Sithara Entertainment's films are some article i had created back then. While I found some time on my hand lately, and couldnt find these people/films on Wikipedia, I created an account again to add them to the platform. I really don't buy this explanation given how your and Paradoxodarap's activity line up and how hagiographical the Ritesh Rana article was (to quote "The film became a sleeper success and helped establish Rana’s signature style of blending suspense and humour."). Also, if you did lose your account, email ca@wikimedia.org from the email associated with your old account and they should be able to figure something out. I have no horse in this race brother, not sure how most of the people do it here, but I have on multiple occasions created account to add/edit information and almost immediately forget the password, and as I've never really given my email (coz its optional) i've never had the need to recover my account. While i try to be my best self with my honesty. If you choose to stay on your decision, Its okay. I came, I tried, It may/may not have worked. However, Irrespective of your decision, I'd recommend you to reconsider your choice on this film, director and producer. Thanks anyways! Good luck. See you again in a few months later I guess. Just to add on the "hagiographical" bit; I looked up Ritesh Rana's previous wiki page on Web Archive ( i believe you could see that in the ref links i had attached as well) i may have picked a few things from the previously deleted version, not to copy but for what I felt was good to include.
