Invitation to participate in research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of a group of Wikipedians to better understand their experiences! We are also looking to interview some survey respondents in more detail, and you will be eligible to receive a thank-you gift for the completion of an interview. The outcomes of this research will shape future work designed to improve on-wiki experiences.

We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this survey, which shouldn’t take more than 2-3 minutes. You may view its privacy statement here. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Kind regards, Sam Walton (talk) 16:35, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

September 2025

[edit]

I have collapsed your pseudo-summary of the RfC at Talk:Killing of Iryna Zarutska because it was absolutely inappropriate for an involved party to make a summary like that during an open RfC. Please avoid such commentary in the future - those sorts of statements should be left to a closer. Please also remember that an RfC is not a vote and if 75% of the respondents to an RfC don't understand BLP policy their numerical superiority is irrelevant. Simonm223 (talk) 12:30, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Eek, thank for letting me know Simonm223. I'll bow out completely of the discussion then. I've been here for something like 18 years but will never pretend to know all the rules. I know wikipedia is on no deadline but i am frankly shocked at wikipedia's failure to be the best source on a major topical news event in this matter. Seems like a case of "we're the experts in this niche" failing to properly evaluate the evidence in this case; its happened before and will happen again, our strength is that we have a robust group of editors who really care about these issues on both sides.--Milowenthasspoken 12:46, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

WNS Global Services

[edit]

I missed your ping before Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/WNS Global Services closed. As it is, reading the article now, I still get an overall feeling of "so what" - there's very little that describes what the company is and what it does, but then again I'm the sort of person who reads things like "..promotes the adoption of a process approach when developing, implementing and improving the effectiveness of a quality management system, to enhance customer satisfaction by meeting customer requirements." (from Business process management) and my eyes start to glaze over while I reach for a cup of coffee. Anyway, as it is, I think your cleanup helped somewhat, and think that "no consensus" is probably the right outcome. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:50, 25 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Milowent, just stopping by to thank you for your work on the article and also to let you know the article is now semi-protected for a year so hopefully that will tamp down on the socking and UPE. S0091 (talk) 18:15, 25 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks, S0091! And thanks for letting me know about the protection status. I had otherwise resolved to check it every few days, since I already rollbacked one IP editor.--Milowenthasspoken 18:47, 25 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for replying to a discussion this old, having missed this, I'd also like to say thanks. Your comment here at the time, I think I was taken aback by. Reading that AfD back now, the whole thing could have resolved before the second relist had somebody just completed the TNT. Reading it now genuinely made me laugh. Definitely need to keep our editorial swords polished! 11WB (talk) 20:07, 5 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks, 11WB! I certainly didn't mean to offend you when i wrote the comment, I was more in one of my inclusionist "tilting at windmills" phases which come over me from time to time. I'm glad it caused delayed laughter.--Milowenthasspoken 20:53, 5 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on List of Playboy Playmates of 2019 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Playboy Playmates of 2019. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Birthdate Nikki Benz

[edit]

Hi @Milowent so what is to be done? Frankly I find the discussion going on over at the talk page so absurdist, I question whether this is Monty Python. Do you think there is a way to resolve all this? ~2025-39885-95 (talk) 16:35, 19 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • Just closing the loop here, the actual birthdate is now on the article and seems to be sticking, though somehow the relied-upon source is now a social media post (the original boogeyman) and NOT the actual Ukrainian news source i found. so it goes here on the greatest compendium of knowledge in history.--Milowenthasspoken 18:54, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Annual Report

[edit]

I've already pinged you before, but please, can you possibly write anything in the 2025 Report? (so many unclaimed entries, maybe something can interest you) igordebraga 05:04, 31 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]
