Jimmy Wales:

  • "Imagine a world in which every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge. That's what we're doing"

Diderot:

  • "This is a work that cannot be completed except by a society of men of letters and skilled workmen, each working separetely on his own part, but all bound together solely by their zeal for the best interests of the human race and a feeling of a mutual good will."

Suspension of autopatrolled permission due to inactivity

[edit]

Hello Millennium bug. Following a request for comment in May 2025, the community has decided to implement an activity requirement for the autopatrolled permission. Because your account has not edited in the last three years, the autopatrolled permission has been removed from your account. This action is purely procedural and does not affect your ability to create articles; if you return to actively creating articles, you may request that the permission be restored through the normal process. When returning, please consider taking some time to re-familiarize yourself with common practices and how they may have changed over the past few years if you wish to request the permission back. Thank you for all of your contributions to Wikipedia, and we hope to see you again soon. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 06:18, 14 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Legal Positivism (book) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Bobbio is underappreciated in the anglosphere and this book is one of his important works on legal theory. Nevertheless, the book (which I have read) is not renowned in the sphere of legal theory, so as to merit its own article. And this article does not tell us much about it: "understanding of a conceptual constructivist approach of the scientific way of thinking law in the new era of the jurisprudence of values" means practically nothing to me and I am a specialist in legal theory. The "Chapters" section lists conventional topics covered, but does not tell us what the book says about those topics. The "Criticism" section consists solely of quotations from Portuguese notifications of publication, which (apart from poor translation) do not actually tell us anything about the book. To "improve" the article sufficiently would be to replace it almost entirely, but I wouldn't see a replacement as merited. What is certainly merited, instead, is expansion of the discussion of legal theory in the article on Bobbio.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
