I will generally respond here to comments that are posted here, rather than replying via your Talk page (or the article Talk page, if you are writing to me here about an article), so you may want to watch this page until you are responded to, or specifically let me know where you'd prefer the reply.
I made edits to the Jussie Smollett hoax page to which user Ivebeenhacked undid. When I replaced them I added a talk page asking for the changes to be made in an attempt to receive consensus. Then I was blocked from making edits for 48 hours (Ivebeenhacked did not apparently have the same prohibition).
I do not believe it is fair that my comments were not addressed in the talk page and the other user was able to simply override an block my access to edits without comment in the talk page.
Multiple people reverted it and, generally, it's better to discuss contentious issues first, and not continually undo reversions. ~Loftyabyss23:40, 18 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
What kind of phrasing used is often debated on talk pages... if no one responds, then you can try re-inserting it, and if someone reverts it again point them to the talk page to discuss it. ~Loftyabyss02:07, 19 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
What is there to say, Lofty abyss?!! I've been sitting here and patrolling Wikipedia for about the last 6-7 hours using some log pages as well as some scripts that keep a live feed of new account creations, edit filter log hits, and other fun goodliness. As soon as I notice an LTA, sockpuppet, or troll emerge from the DEPTHS OF THE PIT OF EVIL and I GRAB MY SWORD TO DEFEND THE KINGDOM IN WHICH WE PROSPER, I'm met to see that the battle is already over, and that you have beat me to the slay! I've had to update some of your blocks later (just to silence the beasts by yanking their TPA and email access and to mark CU treasures that I dig up - nothing big), but know that your slays against evil are noticed and admired! Keep up the good fight, fellow warrior! We will stand proud, and you have my sword anytime you need it! ;-) ~Oshwah~(talk)(contribs)18:47, 1 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, although what I end up doing is acting on reports of edits by a bot coded by AI (now that they can, through iterations likely, do that; if only it was possible years ago, it could have been easier then, and perhaps avoided certain sociological corners)... and since, in reality, I'm always connected (due to, admittedly, having sadly no life, idiomatically), even if I had no bot for years (it was also disrupted due to the freenode takeover nonsense)... I end up being able to respond most hours of the day... ~Loftyabyss05:00, 2 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
