[edit]Apologies for inadvertently deleting this talk page earlier.
You said I’m requesting this because there is another page titled *Sahil Mehta* about a different actor, and unfortunately, some of my film credits and production listings are being incorrectly attributed there. . You can, of course, remove incorrect facts from that article anyway, although you should be clear in your edit summary why you are doing so.
You appear to have written significant amounts of your text, and your request on my talk page with a LLM such as ChatGPT, without properly checking its output. Please don't do that. Overuse of AI is a reason for deletion in itself, and using it in a talk page message casts doubts on whether you understand the issues.
You have an obvious conflict of interest, which you must declare on the article talk page. Please don't write about yourself, your friends or relatives and read the guidance below:
- When you write about a person, you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that they meet the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the person or an associated organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the person claims or interviewing them. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls.
- Nearly all of your text was unreferenced, and the handful of references you do give appear to be reviews of your film. Whether or not you meet the notability criteria linked above doesn't depend on what people think of your films, and cherry-picking reviews just makes the whole thing even more spammy.
- There is a long string of references strung accross the bottom of your article that are not following any text, no idea why they are there.
- You cannot establish notability without verified facts. For example, you claim some awards and nominatins, but none are referenced to websites of the awarding bodies.
- You must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews.
- Lots of self promotion and unsourced claims His roles have been noted for depth and authenticity across both mainstream and independent projects... Mehta’s portrayal of the younger son, Tegi, was particularly well-received... His performance as Jigar was well-received, with critics commending his comic timing and screen presence... and much, much more of similar. We need real facts.
- There shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
- And no social media in External links, just your official site.
- You must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
- Your image seems to have been copied from a site that claims copyright, can't be used here, so nominated for deletion at Commons.
- You or your chatbot seem to have bolded text at random. The first mention of Sahil Mehta is the only item to be bolded.
Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. If you are writing about yourself, or someone you know as a friend, colleague, client, employer or relative, you have a conflict of interest, and you must disclose the nature of that COI. [edit]
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself, at Sahil Mehta (actor). Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Sahil Mehta (actor)
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Sahil Mehta (actor), requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
