[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Cognitarism. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is written like an essay, not an encyclopedic article. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 12:45, 18 August 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for the draftification note and the guidance. I have revised the draft to address the concerns about essay-like tone and layout. If there are further issues blocking acceptance, please indicate which sentences or sections still read as essay, and I will adjust them promptly. Thank you for your time and for the review. Your submission at Articles for creation: Cognitarism (October 15)
[edit]
This draft's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs multiple published sources that are:
- in-depth (not just passing mentions about the subject)
- reliable
- secondary
- independent of the subject
This submission reads more like an essay than an encyclopedia article. Submissions should summarise information in secondary, reliable sources and not contain opinions or original research. Please write about the topic from a neutral point of view in an encyclopedic manner.
The comment the reviewer left was:
You’ve made an ok start to the article, but, at this stage it doesn’t pass notability. To prove notability we requires 2-3 sources which are reliable, independent, secondary sources, which talk at length about the topic of the article. Unfortunately the sources you have so far aren’t quite there. Only one of the sources directly talks about Cognitarianism, with most of the others predating the theory by several years. In fact, the submission reads like an essay, or piece of original research, neither of which are appropriate for Wikipedia. My suggestion if you want to go forward with this submission is to find 3 solid secondary sources, and then use facts contained within them to rewrite the article from scratch, without introducing facts / theories from outside those sources. This should also help with the problem of essay / original research. Until those sources are found and used correctly, I don’t see much chance of this article being accepted upon resubmission. Good luck and I hope you find some sources soon 👍
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
