Information icon Hello, I'm Jessicapierce. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, William Arthur Watts, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 19:02, 7 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Jessica. I am Niall Watts son of William Arthur Watts. The original information was incorrect. I have my father's marriage and death certificates. I feel these are inappropriate to add as citations. Also his autobiography which is not cited. I will add it. I don't know you. Did you know my father? Niall Watts Courseware (talk) 06:35, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Jessica. I have two sources. I have attempted to add them but finding it difficult
His autobiography - Watts, William (2008) William Watts Provost Trinity College Dublin A Memoir. The Lilliput Press. Dublin
This book can confirm his marriage date.
His obituary in The Irish Times https://www.irishtimes.com/life-and-style/people/former-provost-of-trinity-college-with-strong-commitment-to-public-service-1.665797 and death notice https://rip.ie/death-notice/william-bill-watts-dublin-stillorgan-100231
I would appreciate if you could add them in the correct format Courseware (talk) 07:18, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I can make those changes for you - thank you for providing sources.
In the future, if there are other changes you'd like make to the article, I advise against doing it yourself, due to the conflict of interest. I'll attach a message below with info about that. You can always post a message on the article's Talk page, asking for others to make changes. Or you can use the "help me" template on your own Talk page (see here). Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 16:01, 8 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
