[edit]Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of Agriculture be, and he is hereby, directed to investigate and import into the United States wild and domestic animals whose habitat is similar to government reservations and lands at present unoccupied and unused: Provided, That, in his judgement, said animals will thrive and propagate and prove either as food or as beasts of burden: and that two hundred and fifty thousand dollars, or as much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated, out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for this purpose.
