Identical

[edit]

Visual basic and Star Officae basic are identical and compatible. Please do not place them in different categories!--79.120.44.89 (talk) 11:06, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Include

[edit]

GFA Basic should absolutely be in this list... :) Hobart (talk) 21:54, 2 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The BASIC portal was recently deleted. I've removed the red link from the template. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 11:54, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple issues

[edit]

There are multiple issues with this template.

  • "HP Basic" (added Oct 2023) is redundant (same wikilink as first entry on same line). Perhaps it was meant to link to HP BASIC instead (which contains a further list of HP implementations).
  • TRS-80 Level I BASIC wasn't a Microsoft product.
  • Not sure why there's a separate "Defunct" category when pretty much everything in the template is defunct.
  • Some "Defunct" items could be placed in existing vendor-specific categories above, e.g., Altair/IBM/Macintosh (all Microsoft), and TI 99 (Texas Instruments).
  • Most "Time-sharing computers" were also "Minicomputers" (and vice versa), not sure why an item gets placed in one or the other category.
