Template:PC-461 class submarine chaser

This is a navbox template for U.S. Navy PC-461-class submarine chasers. Because of the large number of ships of this class, the template has features that help to minimize the size of the template on article pages.

Usage

Before the categories on the article page, place this:

{{PC-461 class submarine chaser}}

Because of the large numbers of ships in this template, this will default to a collapsed list, like this:

By adding an optional parameter, like this:

{{PC-461 class submarine chaser|2}}

where the optional parameter is the number of the arbitrary group in which the ship appears in the template:

Use 1 for USS PC-461 to USS PC-627
Use 2 for USS PC-776 to USS PC-1099
Use 3 for USS PC-1100 to USS PC-1199
Use 4 for USS PC-1200 to USS PC-1265
Use 5 for USS PC-1546 to USS PC-1569

So, for PC-815, use 2; for PC-1168, use 3. The template can show only a portion of the links, like this:

This template's initial visibility currently defaults to autocollapse, meaning that if there is another collapsible item on the page (a navbox, sidebar, or table with the collapsible attribute), it is hidden apart from its title bar; if not, it is fully visible.

To change this template's initial visibility, the |state= parameter may be used:

{{PC-461 class submarine chaser|state=collapsed}} will show the template collapsed, i.e. hidden apart from its title bar.
{{PC-461 class submarine chaser|state=expanded}} will show the template expanded, i.e. fully visible.
