Page structure
[edit]I'm trying to organise this page and letter games. I see a big difference between the following, but I'm not sure how to classify it. Suggestions / work in progress below. -- user:Tarquin
charades etc
[edit]games like Scrabble but traditional rather than commercial -- focus on the meaning of words
board games
[edit]letter games like Scrabble, a board game
pangrams & lipograms etc
[edit]literary / linguistic diversion, which in their style are related to Mathematical games. The focus is on the letters & the structure of words

Recent edit
[edit]Explanation of recent edit: I think the external links at the bottom (two booksellers and a few internet word game sites) made the page too commercial. Wikipedia is not a place to list editors' favorite websites. The Google Web Directory link gives a less biased portal to lots of online word game sites, and has related links to sociology, word play, etc... - Tim Starling (talk) 12:55, 30 April 2003 (UTC)
Is this the page to list Dingbats on? If so, where should it go? Angela 01:36, Oct 11, 2003 (UTC)
How can you have a list of word games without balderdash? I would add it myself but I'm not sure what section it goes under —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.241.113.173 (talk) 19:13, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Further sorting of games into categories
[edit]I would like to see a better distinction between general types of games such solving anagrams, versus a specific implementation of a game, such as AnagramsTM. Right now we have them jumbled together. Any way we can get them unscrambled? Zyxwv99 (talk) 13:59, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
