Article Creation
[edit]Yes, I realize how stubby this is. I will soon flesh it out with examples of systems that need setting, like the flaps & slats, and perhaps a brief description of the dangers of take-off. Also, some mentions of some of the worst disasters attributed to bad take-off configuration. I created this article because I noticed a number of airline disaster articles that mention TOWS, but failed to link to an article describing it. So here. I don't think this is redundant - I couldn't find a page about this. Eaglizard (talk) 18:14, 27 August 2014 (UTC)

Error related to Delta flight 1141
[edit]The article states "A number of aircraft disasters due to improper configuration have happened in spite of the presence of a functional take-off warning system: Delta Air Lines Flight 1141"
In fact, the Take-off warning system on Delta 1141 was NOT functional. Per the NTSB accident report: "The takeoff warning system had an intermittent failure problem which was not corrected during the last maintenance activity and which manifested itself during the takeoff of flight 1141." 2604:2D80:B402:2000:78B7:7F63:292B:28CD (talk) 06:07, 26 August 2025 (UTC)
