Title and content of article not aligned
[edit]This article is called "Software Supply Chain", yet most of its content is focused on "Software Bill of Materials" (SBOM) which is only the documentation about a small part of the oftware supply chain.
This article should be renamed to acknowledge it's on SBOM, which is a growing topic of interest with new sources every week.
Alternatively it could be split into two articles:
- one on the SBOM, which would take most of the current content
- one on the Software Supply chain, but which remains to be developed to cover how the supply chain works its main actor's role, e.g. the kind of actors (software distributors, software makers, components makers (libraries, frameworks), service providers (bespoke software, or software related services), system integrators, localisation services, tool makers (compilers, IDEs, static analysers, media managers), media assets providers (audio, pictures, 3D objects). There is really a lot to be said on it, and the opportunity to link to existing more specialised articles (including the SBOM and the Software Development Process).
