The American Society of Mammalogists (mammaldiversity.org) has promoted the Megascapheus sub-genus to be a genus in it's own right. iNaturalist has followed suit. Does Wikipedia have a preferred taxonomic authority for mammals, or does it roll it's own? Dawfedora (talk) 17:33, 21 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
