[edit]I can't seem to find a source for the claim. I found an article that says they're working on achieving 1200 wpm on modern rigs. I looked through articles, books, no mention of reading speed. Aldis lamp
[edit]The text refers to a 1944 patent by Aldis, but I have seen the term "Aldis lamp" having been used since at least 1918, so was the handheld device an improvement of an earlier design by the same Aldis? 2001:2042:3012:1700:70B2:7613:11D3:9E80 (talk) 08:58, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
