This is a disappointing article for a big subject. I wanted to answer some questions on the formation of sand types, such as daily temperature swings pulverizing rock versus chemical processes and life processes (much sand is tiny shells for example). and expected to see reference to the fact that someone has estimated how many grains of sand exist in earth (it's something like a septilian) that I've seen elsewhere on Wikipedia. I'm not the one that can create this though because I have no idea. This article seems to almost be an old placeholder.

I wonder whether there is an picture interversion on the first frame... I don't actually notice the insect mentioned in the text. ONaNcle (talk) 10:56, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I can't find any sand in that picture. Chenzw (talkchanges) 11:09, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
The image was changed at Commons back in July 07. -- Creol(talk) 13:32, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've removed the picture as it had nothing to do with the article. Razorflame 13:36, 8 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
