Milestones

[edit]

The table in the Milestones section show R version with format x.y, e.g. R 3.6. However, except for some of the historical releases, the formal version format is x.y.z, e.g. R 3.6.0. The dates associated with each entry appears to point to when the x.y.0 release was done. Should the 'Release' version be updated to use x.y.0 format?

Maintenance Template - "too technical"

[edit]

In response to this article's maintenance template, I have improved the lead section by making it understandable to non-experts, without removing any technical details. Is it appropriate to remove the maintenance template at this point? Pac Veten (talk) 18:14, 13 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds fine to me, but I didn't post that "too technical" flag. I suggest waiting 24 hours to give whoever set that flag to respond. If no reply by 24 hours from now, it should be appropriate to remove it. DavidMCEddy (talk) 18:26, 13 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

This article sounds like an advertisement for the tidyverse package…

[edit]

I think apart from a link in the see also all references to todyverse should be removed. Even though it's useful and popular R goes far beyond a single package. The article should be about how it compares to other languages/tools used for data visualisation, not to promote some package. 2A02:3035:B63:25FC:20BF:320B:71D7:6A85 (talk) 11:20, 12 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
