[edit]How does this not duplicate Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air? Shouldn't this information be merged there?

The King's/Queens Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air and the Queen's Commendation for Valuable Service are two distinct awards, with different conditions and different badges:
- The King's/Queens Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air was established in 1942 and is an oval silver badge pinned below any medals.[1] Its award was discontinued in August 1994.[2]
 - The Queen's Commendation for Valuable Service was established in 1994 and is an oak leaf branch device worn on a medal ribbon and awarded for meritorious service in an operational theatre, not limited to the air.[3] This is not made clear in the current article, which I hope to correct in the next few days.

Please see the above references which confirm. Also confirmed by the Medals Yearbook 2015 page 108, while British Gallantry Awards, pages 303-304, 1981 edition by Abbott & Tamplin, goes into the King's/Queens Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air in some detail.
Happy to supply further evidence if this would assist.

- @Hsq7278: That is a reasonable case, though I have not truly explored the topics since Vexations also reverted. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 19:04, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

Name change for current reign
[edit]I don't know the details of this specific award, but does it need to be changed to "King's" due to the accession of Charles III? 2603:8001:6C03:8560:82:D931:B553:3DDA (talk) 22:03, 19 June 2023 (UTC)
