have Mesopithecus fossils ever been found in Britain?

The cited source clearly supports the claim, Table 6 lists Mesopithecus monspessulanus as present in the Red Crag in England. this 2023 paper discusses a Mesopithecus tooth found in the crag in some detail, but attributes it to Mesopithecus sp. Hemiauchenia (talk) 16:14, 7 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
