Classification
[edit]Jane's Fighting Ships (1919) lists them at the time as 'Patrol Gun Boats'*, not as sloops. While they were, in terms of size and duties, broadly similar to the contemporary sloops it would appear that they were not, at that time, so rated? Is this the case?
- (Sorry; 'Patrol Gun Boats, not 'gunboats'. My error. These vessels are confusing and it seems the RN was quite deliberate in being so with its classifications. Nevertheless, such they were.)31.104.100.34 (talk) 20:43, 21 October 2025 (UTC)
