Hello,

Over the next few weeks I plan to separate the topics of 3D and 2D animation into two separate categories as is noted on this article's "To-do list." I will be sure to preserve the content and particularly focus on making the article more readable and organized by allowing each sub topic to have its own section. Feel free to leave any suggestions here or questions about what I will do here. ZacZig (talk) 18:07, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I definitely support. —theMainLogan (tc) 01:40, 4 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
is this still happening? Some related articles that also need some work are virtual cinematography, and the Traditional animation article, which is terribly named and mixes digital 2D animation and hand-drawn cel animation. — jonas (talk) 05:10, 4 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Support They are entirely different. RuzDD (talk) 11:59, 8 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
So, it's been over a year. Shall we do the split? Lililolol (talk) 04:11, 5 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I think so. Not being solely a reason and not being limited to these articles, seperation between 2D and 3D CGI should be made well. RuzDD (talk) 16:34, 7 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Should we request a closure first do you think? GothicGolem29 (talk) 23:48, 19 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Asking because Wikipedia:Splitting says to close the discussion. GothicGolem29 (talk) 23:48, 19 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Nevermind it says any user can close so I will close and perform the split. GothicGolem29 (talk) 23:53, 19 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
