Suggestion For Improvement
[edit]Clarify whether or not it is a static or changing number.
If real equity returns are sustainably double the real GDP growth rate, the Buffett Indicator will not remain static or mean-revert. Instead, it will rise over time, reflecting an expanding gap between market values and economic output. This would make the indicator less reliable as a "returns to normal" valuation signal unless structural factors change.
