StrataCom, Inc. was a high-speed network equipment manufacturing company. It started in January 1986 in Cupertino, California, by 26 former workers of Packet Technologies.
StrataCom created the first commercial “cell switch,” also known as a fast-packet switch. ATM technology later became an important part of the world’s communication systems during the 1990s.[1]
