Development
[change | change source]The game was developed by Hazelight Studios, the same studio behind A Way Out (2018) and It Takes Two (2021). Like those games, Split Fiction was published as part of the Electronic Arts program. The game was officially announced at the Game Awards in December 2024.[3][4]
Reception
[change | change source]Split Fiction received very good reviews from both magazines and websites. The game has a Metacritic score of 90-93/100[5][6] and an OpenCritic score of 90/100.[7]
Sales
[change | change source]The game sold over one million copies in the first two days.[8] On Steam, the game had 260,000 players online at the same time during its peak.[9] After one week, Split Fiction had sold over two million copies.
