Richard Martin Lloyd Walters[1] (born 14 January 1965), better known by his stage name, Slick Rick, is an English rapper, songwriter and record producer from a Jamaican family. He is also known by the names MC Ricky D and Rick the Ruler. He is also known for wearing an eye patch when performing after he was blinded in his right eye from broken glass as an infant. He burst onto the rap scene in Doug E. Fresh & the Get Fresh Crew where he went by the stage name, MC Ricky D.
