Selective mutism (SM) be an anxiety disorder insyd wich a person wey otherwise be capable of speech cam be unable to speak wen dem expose to specific situations, specific places, anaa to specific people, one anaa multiple of wich serve as triggers. Selective mutism usually dey co-exist plus social anxiety disorder.[1] People plus selective mutism dey stay silent even wen de consequences of dema silence dey include shame, social ostracism, anaa punishment.[2] Insyd sam cases, de person dey wan talk buh dem dey feel like dem no fi get de words out.
