"Regulate" is a hip hop/R&B song performed by Nate Dogg and Warren G. The song was released in the summer of 1994. It appears on the soundtrack of Above the Rim, and later Regulate... G Funk Era.
The song reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.[1] It also hit #8 on the R&B/Hip Hop chart.
The song samples "I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near)" by Michael McDonald. This is the song that made Warren G famous and became one of his biggest hits. Until then, he was mostly known for being a good friend of and being mentioned with Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg. The song uses a sample from Michael McDonald's classic I Keep Forgettin’.
