The Numaligarh Refinery is a division of Oil India Limited which is under the ownership of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. It is located at Morangi, Golaghat district, Assam in India. Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) was a division of BPCL. It opened in 1999.[3] The commercial production commenced from 1 October 2000.From Dec 2 2025 onwards NRL is a Navratna PSU

As of 2014, it had a capacity of 3 million metric tonnes per year.[4] In January 2019, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved plans to increase the refinery's capacity to 9 million metric tonnes per year.[5]
