Normal subgroup

In group theory, a branch of mathematics, a subgroup $N$ of the group $G$ is normal in $G$ if and only if ${\frac {1}{gng}}\in N$ for all $g\in G$ and $n\in N$.

The usual notation for this relation is $N\triangleleft G.$
