History
[edit | edit source]Na dem found de town around 1740 by Butu, a Nankane speaking hunter wey komot Zecco (present day southern Burkina Faso), wey initially he settle insyd Pungu (a Kasem speaking community further south of Zecco).[3] During de 19th century, de town cam be an important staging post on de Sahel caravan route. At de beginning of de 20th century de British establish a base at Navrongo.[4]
Climate
[edit | edit source]Navrongo get a tropical savanna climate (Aw according to de Köppen climate classification) plus de temperature be hot year-round, although der be a wet season den a dry season. On 26 March 2017, Navrongo record a temperature of 43.8 °C (110.8 °F), wich na de highest temperature ever be recorded insyd Ghana.[5]
