The Mercedes-Benz O371 is a body of a coach and a chassis of a coach. It had a step-entrance. It was made in Brazil from the 1980s to the 1990s by Mercedes-Benz.[1][2]

Marcopolo bodywork or Busscar bodywork was built to the O371 chassis.

In the 1980s, it replaced the Mercedes-Benz O303 chassis.

The O371R was made as a coach, it was made from the 1980s to the 1990s. It had a Mercedes-Benz OM355/5A engine at 230HP. It had a spring suspension.

The O371RS was made as a coach, it was made from the 1980s to the 1990s. It had a Mercedes-Benz OM355/6A turbocharger aspirated engine at 291 hp. It had a pneumatic suspension.

The O371RSL was made as a coach, it was made from 1992 to 1994. It had a Mercedes-Benz OM447LA Turbo-intercooler engine with output of 354cv and 360cv.[1]

The O371RSD was made as a coach, it was made from the 1980s to the 1990s. It had a Mercedes-Benz OM355/6LA turbo intercooler engine with output of 326 hp.

The O371U was made as a bus, it was made from 1987 to 1994. It was made in Campinas, Sao Paulo. In 1994, the front of the O371U was replaced with the front of O400.[2]

The O371UL was made as a bus, it was made from 1994 to 1996. It was a few inches wider, it had front air suspension, and more horsepower.[1] the front of the O371UL was replaced with the front of O400 family. From 1994 to 2006, the buses were used in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

The O371UP was made as a bus, it was made from 1987 to 1993. It was a powerful bus, it had a 187 hp OM355/5A 9.6l 5-cylinder engine.[1] It was used in Curitiba, Brazil.

The O371TR was made as a trolleybus, it had an electronic control system and an 120 kW (600 V DC) electric motor supplied by Villares. Because of restrictions on public debt and the oil crisis being over, only two or three units were sold to the city of Araraquara.[1][2]
