Martha Wash

Martha Elaine Wash (born on December 28, 1953 in San Francisco)[1] is an American house and pop music singer and songwriter. She was with multiple music groups especially during the 1980s and 1990s. Those included The Weather Girls (from whom the song "It's Raining Men" was released in 1982 or 1983) and the Black Box musical house group (a large number of whose songs include "Everybody Everybody" and against whom she filed lawsuits due to not being credited in their pop and house or groove music)..[2]
Later in the 1990s, Martha Wash had solo albums of her own. They include the self-titled album having the same name. She was also with the C+C Music Factory from 1990-onwards to 1994 or 1995.
