MARCA is a Spanish daily tabloid sport newspaper, that is owned by Unidad Editorial. The newspaper mainly focuses on football, specifically the day-to-day activities of Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, and Atlético Madrid. It has a daily readership of over 2.5 million as of 2007, which is the highest in Spain for a daily newspaper.[1]

In February 2001, they started a 24-hour/day sports radio station called Radio Marca. They also started a TV channel in 2010 called MARCA TV, which was closed in 2013.

Marca has given out multiple awards, most of which are for association football players.

  • Best Football Player of All Time – Given to Argentine Lionel Messi in 2014, through an online poll voted by Marca.com readers.[5]
  • Marca America Award – a special award given to Lionel Messi as recognition for being the player with the most titles in football history.[6][7]
