From Template:Inh-lite,[1] from Template:Der-lite. Vladimir Orel proposed Template:Cog-lite and Template:Cog-lite as cognates. Proto-Albanian
reflecting an ancient Balkan toponym.[2][3] Preserved in patroynms, ethnonym Template:M-lite, in toponym (historical and ethnographic region) Malësia (north Albania and Montenegro). In Kosovo (Malishevë, Gjilan, Mališevo, Prizren), in Serbia (Maleševo (Golubac), Maleševo (Rekovac)) and the name of Maleshevo Mountain (North Macedonia and Bulgaria).[4] Gil'Ferding proposed Template:Cog-lite as a cognate.
According to Michel Morvan a common pre-Indo-European Template:Der-lite with Template:Cog-lite and Template:M-lite[5] (cf. pre-Indo-European geonymic root *mal (*mel, *mol), Template:Cog-lite and Template:Cog-lite).
La Piana and Huld suggested Template:Cog-lite and Template:Cog-lite, both derived from Template:Cog-lite. Also connected to Template:Cog-lite, Template:M-lite, Template:M-lite. Compare also Template:Cog-lite, Template:Cog-lite, with a semantic development from ‘head’ > ‘summit’, compare Template:M-lite) > ‘mountain’.
