The Long Now Foundation is a company that plans to destroy the Y10K problem. They do this by converting the current year into a 5-digit number ("02022" instead of "2022").
They also have other projects, such as the Rosseta Project, which aims to preserve all the languages in the world. It is a metal disk that has text printed. The text is so small that you need a microscope to read it.
