A Knowledge graph is a graph used to represent facts and knowledge.[1]
Regular databases have information but without clear explanation of what it is. For example a MySQL database has a table with rows, but you can only know what a row means if you are familiar with the program. Knowledge graphs build this into the information they store.
They are used with the Semantic Web to create openly available information for the public.[2][3]
