Kilobyte
The kilobyte (kB) is a unit used to measure storage space on computer hard drives or computer memory equal to 1000 bytes. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) currently defines the kilobyte as being 1000 bytes.[1] According to the IEC, the correct name for 1024 bytes is the kibibyte.[2] This naming convention, however, is not commonly used.[3]
One thousand kilobytes make one megabyte.
