Ismail Mahomed Ayob (3 January 1942 – 17 December 2025) was a South African lawyer. During his career, he defended many people in anti-Apartheid cases. Ayob also became prominent because sometimes he disagreed with Nelson Mandela.

Ayob died on 17 December 2025 at the age of 83.[1]
