Ilia Ivanschitz (* 7 April 2007 in Athens, Greece) is an Austrian football player. He plays as midfielder for the 2nd league club FC Liefering.
Career
[change | change source]Ivanschitz began his career at First Vienna FC. In January 2021, he moved to the youth academy of FC Red Bull Salzburg. There he progressed through all age groups from the 2021/22 season onwards.
For the 2025/26 season, he joined the squad of the second-division team FC Liefering. [1] He made his debut in the second division on 15 August 2025. He came as a substitute for Oliver Lukic in the 76th minute of the third matchday of that season against SK Sturm Graz II. [2] He scored his first goal for Liefering on 1 November 2025 in a away-match versus Young Violets Austria Wien. [3]
International
[change | change source]Ivanschitz made his debut for an Austrian youth national team in April 2022. In September 2023, he debuted for the U-17 team. He participated in the 2024 European Championship with this team. He made three appearances in the tournament.
Personal
[change | change source]His father Andreas (* 1983) was also a football player. He played for the Austria national football team.
