Franz Erdl (4 May 1911- 17 May 1968) was an Austrian footballer. He played mainly for First Vienna FC as forward. He also played for the Austrian national football team.

Erdl started in the youth of First Vienna FC. He was then transferred to the first team. With Vienna he won two championships and two Cup-wins. From 1937 till 1942 he played for TWL Elektra. From 1942 till 1945 he played again for First Vienna. In this time he won the third title with Vienna. From January till July 1943 he played for Dresdner SC. With the team he won the German championship. He ended his career 1950 after playing again for TWE Elektra.

Erdl played three matches for the Austrian national football team. He debuted on 11 June 1933 in a homewin versus Belgium . His last match was on 17 May 1936 in a draw versus Italy [1]
